Baseball League Registrations


Welcome to the 2023 season! Please see below information on each of our divisions to help you select what is best for your son/daughter. At the bottom of this page, will be links to both Player and Coach registration. 

FARM/A DIVISION A- 6, 7 & 8 YEAR OLDS INSTRUCTIONAL 

This FARM/A Division is for boys and girls ages 5*, 6, 7 & 8. This division is a Coach-Pitch Division. Rosters may be composed of between 10 and 15 players per team, dependent on registration. *Boys & Girls league age 5 are permitted to advance to the FARM/A division with the following conditions: 1) after participation in the Tee Ball program for one year 2) assessed capable by the MAALL board of directors, to be permitted to participate in the FARM/A division. Objectives: To provide each player an enjoyable learning experience in which the basics of the game such as fielding, throwing, base running and hitting are emphasized. This division focuses on baseball fundamentals and instruction. This division is 100% coach pitch and has an instructional focus. Teams are formed by the Player Agent, taking into account skill levels, geography and parental requests. Official Little League Rules of Play are substantially modified to facilitate the games. No scores or standing are kept for this instructional division. If registering your child for Farm/Minor A division, please list friend, coach, or neighborhood requests . We will try our best to accommodate your request. 


MINOR "AA" DIVISION - 8 & 9 YEAR OLDS INSTRUCTIONAL & COMPETITIVE 

This Minor AA Division is for boys and girls ages 8 &9. This division is a Coach/Player-Pitch Division. Rosters may be composed of between 12 and 15 players per team, dependent on registration. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. This division does include 8 year olds, however, some younger 8-year olds with less experience could choose to "play down" in the Farm /A division which is a Coach-Pitch division. Objectives: To further the development of all players understanding of the rules of baseball as well as the fundamental skills needed to enjoy the game safely. This division is a developmental division and is used to prepare the players for competitive baseball at the higher levels. This division focuses on baseball fundamentals and instruction as well. This division is 3 innings of coach pitch and 3 innings of player pitch per game (may vary due to length of game). The season ends with a round robin tournament. Teams are formed by a blind draft overseen by the Player Agent taking into account skill levels and player age. Official Little League Rules of Play are substantially modified to facilitate the games. No standings are kept for this division. 


MINOR "AAA" DIVISION - 9, 10 & 11 YEAR OLDS COMPETITIVE 

This Minor AAA Division is for boys and girls ages 9-11. This division is a Player-Pitch Division. Rosters may be composed of between 12 and 14 players per team, dependent on registration. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. This division does include 9 year olds, however, some younger 9-year olds with less experience could choose to "play down" in the Minor AA division which is a Coach/Player-Pitch division. Objectives: To further the development of all players understanding of the rules of baseball as well as the fundamental skills needed to enjoy the game safely. The intent is to further develop players understanding of the defensive aspects of playing certain positions within the field as well as how they should respond to certain game situations. Tryouts/Evaluations are required for players entering their first season of AAA. Tryouts are usually in mid February. This is necessary to ensure that we have balanced teams across the division. Teams are formed by a blind draft from a pool of eligible players, taking into account skill levels, This division is 100% player pitch. There is limited base stealing. There is a continuous batting order and minimum playing times for all players. However, this Division is very competitive, standings are maintained, and the season culminates in playoffs. Official Little League Rules of Play are followed. 


MAJORS DIVISION - 10, 11 & 12 YEAR OLDS HIGHLY COMPETITIVE 

The Little League Baseball Division (also known as the Major Division) is for boys and girls ages 10-12. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. MAALL little league selects a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") at the end of the regular season from within this division and the team may enter the International Tournament. The culmination of the International Tournament is the Little League Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the world. Objectives: To further the development of all players understanding of the rules of baseball as well as the fundamental skills needed to enjoy the game safely. The intent is to further develop players understanding of the defensive aspects of playing certain positions within the field as well as how they should respond to certain game situations. Tryouts/Evaluations are required for players entering their first season of Majors. This is necessary to ensure that we have balanced teams across the division. Teams are formed by blind draft from a pool of available players, taking into account skill levels based on tryout & coach evaluations. Their is a set limit to the number of players that will be selected to the Majors division each year. This division is 100% player pitch. There is base stealing. There is a continuous batting order and minimum playing times for all players. However the Major Division is very competitive, parents need to consider whether their child is ready for this level of baseball. 

Junior/Senior/Big League field size (60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance and 90-foot base paths).

Many of the Junior League rules will be used such as runners being permitted to lead off bases, runners may attempt to steal at any time, and allowing an on-deck batter. The culmination of the International Tournament is the Intermediate (50/70) Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the world. Objectives: To further the development of all players understanding of the rules of baseball as well as the fundamental skills needed to enjoy the game safely. The intent is to further develop players understanding of the defensive aspects of playing certain positions within the field as well as how they should respond to certain game situations. This division is open to baseball age 12 - 13 year olds, but 12 year olds MUST play in Majors division to be eligible to play in 50/70 division. MAALL teams will play 50/70 teams from other neighboring Little Leagues. Our home field will be Ginty 3 which has been upgraded to 50/70 dimensions. This division is 100% player pitch. There is leading & base stealing. There is a continuous batting order.
